ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
This is an OEM Soft Top Rear Deck Cover Strut for Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class vehicles. This part is what allows the rear deck cover (the leather-covered part that covers the soft top) to stand upwards and not fall. Both the left and right strut are the same parts.
Over time, the nitrogen gas in these struts leaks out and the deck lid will drop down, rather than staying in the upright position. Replacement of this strut will restore the deck movement back to its original working order.

It is difficult to see, but it can be seen with a flashlight through the trunk. Look for the trunk struts, they come from a cut out in the back of the trunk. In the hole beside the trunk struts, you can shine a flashlight to find the Soft Top Rear Deck Cover Struts. If looking for the left deck strut, it will be to the right of the trunk strut (and vice versa).

*We strive to ship all of our orders as soon as possible. Most packages will ship the same day, and weekend orders will ship on Monday morning. Please note that due to the different country postal systems involved with the shipping, expect any First Class shipment to take an average of 3 weeks. These packages are not trackable once they leave the United States.
It would be the responsibility of the buyer to pay any customs or duty charges. It is helpful if you include a contact number and email address to your order so you can be contacted with any issues.
