This is a genuine Mercedes-Benz Battery Hold Down Bracket for W201, W124, and C215 Models. The location for this part varies between vehicles, but it is always found under the hood around the battery. It secures the battery in place with this bracket, a nut, and a bolt. Whenever the battery needs to be removed, this part needs to be removed.
Over time, this part easily corrodes due to being around the battery. We included a photo to show how this corrosion affects this part. As it corrodes, it may become increasingly difficult to remove the nut and bolt on this part. Replacement is simple, and makes working on the battery much easier.
