ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
This is a genuine Mercedes-Benz Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Switch for R129 SL-Class vehicles. ESP was standard on all SL600 vehicles 1996 and later and optional on the SL500. If your vehicle does not have ESP, it will not have this switch.
All R129 vehicles had ABS and traction control systems that work on the front and back axis, but the ESP anti-skid system works on the left and right axis. It gives the vehicle added traction when side-skidding occurs. The system uses sensors to monitor steering angle, each wheel speed, lateral acceleration, and brake pressure to determine if the vehicle is sliding. Then, the system applies brakes to the wheels individually to help maintain control of the vehicle.
Bosch's Electronic Stability Program was the first to reach the market, which appeared on Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicles in 1995. It then reached the R129 SL-Class in 1996 and other high-end automakers began implementing such features ever since.

International orders are typically shipped with USPS. There are three options for international shipping:
- USPS First Class*
- USPS Priority International
- USPS Priority Express International
*USPS First Class is the cheapest shipping option and could take a few weeks to arrive. This option comes with tracking information, however, it only is available within the United States. Once the package has left the United States, it is unable to be tracked.

Any of our Classic Trim Parts manufactured products come with a lifetime guarantee from cracking. In the case that a part you have ordered from us is broken or defective, please contact us in order to request a replacement.
If you have ordered the wrong color in any of our Classic Trim Parts branded parts, you are eligible for an exchange to receive the correct color. If you are unsure if you have selected the proper color, ensure that you fill out the form at checkout asking for the year and model of your vehicle. This is helpful to us when assuring you receive the correct color for your vehicle.
